I am a food tinkerer. I have been in the technology field for
many years, so maybe I am a food technician. I take a perfectly good
recipe and say, “I can do better than that” and I do. I love to
experiment with herbs, spices, rubs and marinades. It is no secret
that I am passionate about food. I love the smell, the taste, the
feel, the touch and the sound of it. I love talking about it,
preparing it, sharing it with others and always learning more about
it. 'Food' is what I do best.
When
my grandson (Alexander) was diagnosed with a severe peanut allergy,
I became obsessive about how to give him an opportunity to taste all
the wonderful food without risking his health. My food fetish
developed a purpose. In the past few years, instances of severe,
possibly fatal food allergies have significantly escalated. Alec and
I cook together and he now can share in the joy of cooking and of
course, of eating. Food ingredients are carefully monitored and
available upon request.
